Time Travel?

I bought a turn table today. It’s like it’s suddenly 1976 all over again. After I picked up said phonograph I went to a used record store and had the time travel feeling increase. The store didn’t take credit.

Umm.

Really.

They didn’t have any thing by Rush, but they did have Dark Side of the Moon and Cream’s Wheels of Fire. Combined it was $12. They had Sgt Pepper too, but the price on that one was a highway robbery of $16.

$12 and I left empty handed because they don’t take credit.

I can see getting caught up in analog audio nostalgia, but how do you operate a business in 2013 without taking credit cards? I mean… really, how do you do it?

House Cleaning Swag

After cleaning the holy hell out of our bedroom and the closet in the living room, I seem to have inherited a Kindle. Sweet!

There also seems to be a seven inch Nexus tablet on my desk that wasn’t there this morning. Bonus!

Hehe

PS There is a PS Vita in the living room too. Swag-o-Rama!

Kitty in Distress

While Jen and I prefer a clutter free environment in our house (and for the first time since we moved in, we have such an environment throughout most of the house), Ms Patches the kitty cat enjoys all the clutter she can get. Piles of laundry are great places for her to curl up and take a nap. Stacks of boxes and bags and stuff also afford a place for her to hide when the tall, fat, red head guy is walking around the house.

Now that all of that is gone from the main floor, and the kids’ bedrooms doors are closed, Ms Patches is one pissed off and confused little feline.

She thanked us for all of our hard work by barfing on the living room floor. You know, I knew that was coming today. So much so that the first thing I did when I woke up was to go looking for it.

Ah, Ms Patches. We all love you, but your stomach often pisses us off.

Cleaning Again

Two weeks ago I scoured the bathroom, kitchen, dining room, and living room. Today Jen and I are ripping our bedroom a new one. We started with the closets, then the dressers, and so far we’ve taken out three bags of trash and eight (8!!) bags of clothes for good will or the salvation army or whatever.

We’ve only been here for three years!

The next big project is the cellar, but I can’t even imagine how I’m going to pull that off. That’s going to be a multi-weekend job.

The really amazing thing about all of this is that the kitchen, bathroom, dining room, and living room have stayed clean for two weeks. Wonders ne’er cease!

WOOHOO!
