Camera Fun
I have the day off tomorrow thanks to Dr Martin Luther King Day. Part of me wants to flake out on the couch all day. Another part of me wants to record some music. Yet another part of me wants to take my camera out for a walk.
If I were to go for a photo walk somewhere, where should I go? I am officially soliciting suggestions.
Thanks
Huge Game
It’s a huge game today for fans in New England. This time of year it doesn’t get any bigger than this.
For some reason my gut is telling me that Jarome Iginla is going to light things up in the second period. I have no basis for that feeling except that Iginla is awesome. He’s a shadow of his younger self, but I am seriously digging the fact that he is finally a Bruin.
note: you didn’t think I was talking about the Patriots in the AFC Championship game, did you? Honestly, I could care less.
I Hate snow
The snow showers we were supposed to get yesterday turned into a few inches of wet, heavy, awfulness. The 30% chance of flurries we were supposed to get turned into about three hours of constant snow. A little of it stuck, but not much. That’s good at least.
I hate snow.
Spark Camera
I am a sucker. I saw a post somewhere singing the praises of the Spark camera app for iPhone and I went and downloaded it. Yes, I am a sheep.
From what I can tell it is the same sort of thing as Vine except you can have longer videos, you have more editing options, and you can add your own music.
See?

Weigh In
We went to a meeting today. I had to weigh in.
I’m down seven pounds. Bullshit. It will all be back next week. Still, I’m on the wagon enough that I just measured out my cereal so I could get the exact point count.
Silverlight?
Slow Motion
I left work on time today. I was in the car, pulling out of my parking spot at 5:40. I drove to my parents’ house 33.1 miles away.
I got to their house at 7:06. I think I was stuck in traffic for 30 of the 33 miles. I know it’s a long weekend and all, but give me a break!
Long Confusing Week
I mentioned the other day that we had a slight, one time schedule change. We swapped a kid day with the kids’ dad. He took our Thursday and we took his Tuesday. The result was pretty catastrophic to my internal calendar. I spent all of Wednesday convinced it was Friday. I then spent all of Thursday convinced it was Friday too. This morning when I woke up I was pretty sure that it was Saturday. Spoiler alert: It wasn’t.
After having less than three hours of sleep on Wednesday night/Thursday morning I was toast by early evening. I tried to put the Bruins game on the radio while I was laying in bed. I missed the first period and it was early in the second when I put my headphones on and put my head on the pillow… And that was all she wrote. The Bruins won 4-2, and I didn’t actually hear any of it. Yippee.
It’s a good thing I got that sleep last night though because today has been the most hectic day in human history. I’ve been bouncing around like crazy all day. I was looking forward to a quiet weekend. Now I am even more than before… I just found out I could be on call for most of the time. Urgh, indeed.
