What Would Be Better?

Tonight the fascist orange shit clown putin-puppet of a us presidential felon in chief will be addressing a joint session of congress. It’s not the state of the union address, but… you know… it’s the state of the union address.

I am trying to decide what I want to see from the democrats in the legislature. I have a couple of thoughts, none of which we will actually see because said democrats will firmly lodge their heads up their collective asses and continue to do nothing while the federal government is overthrown by a fascist dictator who has sold our country out to its enemies and turned us into a russian vassal state. You know how it is.

Part of me wants to see the entire democratic party flat out boycott the speech. Just collectively say fuck that orange shit clown and his lies and gaslighting and all of it and just say no and not show up. Yeah, like that would ever happen.

Another part of me wants them to just heckle the shit out of the fascist felon in chief. Every time he lies start screaming… which means they will all scream throughout the entire speech because literally every word will be a lie. They would have to take it in shifts because all of that screaming would result in the entire democratic contingent losing their voices before the end of the farce. Yeah, like that would ever happen.

Another part of me wants to see some sort of theatrical protest. Something that will look epic on television (which is the only thing the shit clown really cares about) whose meaning would be completely unmistakable. Something like having the entire democratic population of the house and senate stand up and turn their backs on the first felon throughout the entire duration of the speech. Maybe they could all flip the bird over their shoulders. Yeah, like that would ever happen.

I’m guessing the only response will be polite and ineffectual. They will take the high road as the country descends into a cesspool of authoritarianism and fascism and dies whimpering like the sad pathetic puppet state we’ve become. Huzzah and shit.

The Cold War is Over and We Lost

So what fresh hell am I waking up to today?

We’re ending all attempts to stop Russian online attacks? Did I read that right? I could not possibly have read that right. You think data breaches are bad now? Oh just wait.

We’re eliminating all economic sanctions against Russia? Did I read that right too? Sure, that sounds like a good idea.

We’re ceasing (I believe the word was “pausing”) economic and military aid to Ukraine? Even though there is an actual, literal LAW in place to send them the aid?

And you still think the orange shit clown is not a Russian agent? Really? 50% of the voting population of the united (fascist) states of america is still with him? Un-fucking-believable.

The president is a Russian agent. The cold war is over and Russia clearly won. It just took a little longer than we expected. Maybe this will unite Europe somehow. I don’t know. I can’t seem to find another potential bright side to all of this rampant fascism.

But hey, at least we don’t have a president with a vagina. That would be completely unacceptable.

I Did It

It was easy. All it took was to pay attention and not let habit slide in and screw up my plans.

I didn’t spend a single cent yesterday. Friday February 28, 2025 was an economic blackout to protest our shit hole country’s shit hole government. I planned to participate and I did and I was successful in my microscopic level of participation.

Now the question is… how many people played along, and was it enough for our capitalist fucking overlords to take any notice. I’m betting no. I suspect it was a wasted effort. I don’t care. I also suspect it is going to come up again… and again… and I also, also suspect it will lead to more efforts of incrementally more invasiveness.

Resist.

Economic Blackout

We are a touch more than 11.5 hours into today’s economic blackout. I haven’t spent any money anywhere yet. So far so good.

While I do not expect that this will have any noteworthy affect on any nazi’s bottom line, maybe it will be enough of a statistical anomaly to make said nazis think twice about how they treat their potential customers. It might also serve as a sort of test drive for a future, potential general strike. If enough people take part today, maybe that will be a good sign that a general strike might see enough participation to have some sort of affect.

I don’t know how many americans are in on this plan, but I am. Friday, February 28th, let’s not spend any money anywhere if we can avoid it. Let’s see if a big chunk of the population can make a small ripple in the billionaires’ bank accounts and then see what happens.

Hero of the Week

I was thinking of doing something with this page to highlight people who are standing up to the rise of fascism in the united states. Something simple like a weekly topic, you know? Something like The Democracy Hero of the Week or The Anti-Fascist Hero of the Week. Something regular and recurring and formal like that.

But the more I thought about it the more I realized I would just be sharing everything that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted that week.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

How Do We Fight Back?

I have been thinking about how we can fight back against the current coup. The short answer is that I don’t know.

One thought though, and I am not sure where this came from but I am sure it’s not original to my tiny little brain, is that Democrats in Congress need to round up as many of the people who have been fired by the doge putz and the fascists in the white house and bring them before Congress to tell their stories. We need public hearings… lots of them… where we can show that these people are real Americans and not just some faceless budget slash. I think the most effective examples would be idiots who voted for the orange mess of fascist goo who were immediately screwed over by him. That would be good PR. That would make good TV.

What do you think, Democrats in Congress? What do you think, Democrats in the Senate? I’m sure it would be a useless gesture as the destruction of the US Constitution is probably too far along at this point, but it would make some really good TV that would embarrass that nazi fucker in public. It would be worth it just for that.

They Were Asking For It

trump, the felon in chief and first rapist of the fascist states of america, yesterday claimed that Ukraine started the war with Russia. Despite, you know, the solid fact that Russia started the war when they invaded their neighbor.

Given his rapist history, it’s no wonder that the fucker claimed Ukraine was asking for it, just like I’m sure his rape victims were all asking for it. Obviously. I mean, they all had vaginas so of course they were asking for it.

Also, about half of the voters in the nazi states of america agree with his statement.

We are so beyond saving.

New Morning Ritual

It is really hard to act like life is normal and progressing nicely or anything like that when every morning one of the first thoughts I have is, “I wonder what fresh hell the nazis got up to last night.”

I mentioned in a post yesterday that I wished I could have joined in on the 50501 presidents day protests yesterday but I couldn’t. I will join in on the fun on the 28th when we do that boycott all business thing, but that’s really nothing special. I think there are more days that I don’t spend any money on anything than those that I do. It’s just going to be another Friday for me.

When New England, New York, and New Jersey secede from the union and form a new nation together, who should we elect as our first President? Elizabeth Warren or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez? I’d be good with either of them.

No Kings

There were presidents day protests in Boston today. I would have joined them if I could, but I had to work. Today is a holiday that I don’t have off. Sucks. Not that I recognize the sitting president at all. The fascist states of america can have him, just keep his nazi ass out of my Massachusetts, please.

No Kings on presidents Day. Except maybe for the Los Angeles Kings, but that’s something completely different.
