Happy vehicle inspection day. I’m only three months late. Sorry.

I Want the Mets to Lose
I am from Boston. All New York sports teams are offensive to me. They burn my soul.
Yesterday I wrote a post listing off which teams I hate the most in each Wild Card round match up. Amazingly, the team in each series that I hate the most has lost in three of the four series. The only one left is the only series that didn’t end in a sweep. The Brewers and the Mets are playing game three right now. It’s scoreless in the third.
I hate the Mets. I probably don’t hate them as much as I hate the Yankees but I don’t hate anyone or anything in the universe as much as I hate the Yankees. The Montreal Canadians are close, but the Yankees are the root of all evil.
What was I talking about? Oh yeah, the Brewers and the Mets. I hate the Mets. I don’t hate the Brewers. In fact, I have been to a Brewers home game. It was September 5, 2007. Jen and I had been dating for a few months and we were out in Wisconsin visiting Mike and Tammy and their baby daughter who is now a high school senior.
All the more reason to root against the friggin’ Mets.
Oh yeah, did I mention the Padres won their series yesterday? Bring on the Dodgers and the inevitable slaughter.
The Ladies
They came and hung out with me while I worked. Just for a little while.
Now What?
I spent the last three months writing a post about the previous day’s music progress the first thing each morning. Now that the music project is over… now what do I do? I got so used to that little piece of the routine that I feel confused and disorientated this morning. I felt about the same way when the year of answering daily writing prompts came to an end.
Now what?
Also… don’t you hate it when your candle burns out? It’s sad, somehow.
I am such a nerd. Wow.
Home
The best part of coming home from the office tonight (as far as work is concerned) is that I know I can work from home for the next two days.
Also, I get to see the cats.
Records
Yesterday I started listening to every Rush record I own on vinyl, in release order. I have everything up to 1987, after which they stopped releasing their music on vinyl (in large quantities at least). I have a couple of 21st century releases from when vinyl became a thing again. I’m in the office today so I won’t be playing that game again until tomorrow. I did take some Hipstamatic Shake to Shuffle style pics while I was packing up my laptop. Just because.
I’m not one of those people who thinks that vinyl is some magical thing. I just like the vibe. I also like having my father’s record player in my work from home space. It’s nice. I’ll start the Rush thing over again tomorrow at the start of the work day. It’s like having a big playlist from a streaming service except that I have to keep flipping the records.
Jungle Cat
Grumpy
Robin looks kinda grumpy here. She’s not a grumpy cat but I guess sometimes she plays one on the internet.
She’s been sitting on the couch in my work space all work day today, but Lily just chased her off and took her place. Oh well.
Spin
I should use a tripod so I can get a super spiny vinyl record shot. Something where the label is so blurred it goes away.
