My pedal board had its first successful test at rehearsal tonight. My hands were cramping like crazy, but my effects were aces.
Next up on the gear wish list is a new pick up switch for my Les Paul, maybe a new tremolo bridge for my strat, a little wiring maintenance for my es-335, and maybe… A Gibson Dirty Finger pick up for the bridge position on the Les Paul. Maybe?

I wrote the lyrics and melody and recorded the vocals before work this morning, and mixed the track after work tonight. The music was written and recorded on Sunday during a pretty productive weekend.
The lyrics are about depression and the inspiration was Robin Williams. I will never condone suicide, but maybe if we all take the time to learn a little bit about what he was going through, and how to treat people in the same boat… then maybe we can find something worthwhile in the loss.
I want to do NaSoAlMo next month, but I’ve got the bug to do some recording right now. I can’t though, I can’t use up any ideas too early, can I?
Urgh.
Anyway, this song got some attention on alonetone this week. I wonder if I should re-record it.
