It’s been almost 31 hours since I was last asleep in my bed. I’ve managed a couple of quick cat naps along the way. You know what? Let’s call them Power Naps.
It’s looking like my mother will be going home today with a sling on her arm. For a while there they were talking about admitting her but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.
Here’s hoping this wraps up soon with her safe at home and me safe at home taking another Power Nap.

It’s 5:57am. As of two minutes ago I have officially pulled an all nighter.
I’m 50 years, 11 months, and five days old.

They took my mother for a CT scan. She’s been asleep the whole time I’ve been here. Hopefully she sleeps through the scan too.
It’s 2:15am, why am I still awake, you ask?
My mother had a fall tonight and she’s in the ER. I’m here with her. She seems to be okay. In fact she’s been sound asleep for a little over an hour.
They want to take some images to make sure she’s okay, but things are moving very slowly around here.
If you have some happy thoughts to spare this morning, feel free to send some my mom’s way. I would be very appreciative.

I wasn’t going to finish it tonight, but then I did. I’m just crazy like that. I am done with The Guardians of the Galaxy, at least until Infinity War.
Up next is the second Avengers flick, Age of Ultron. By far the worst of the four Avengers movies, but still pretty fricken good.
I’d like to be going to sleep right now but I want to let my watch charge to 100% before I do. It’s at 83% right now, but it did just take a WatchOS update so that’s cool.
An unrelated aside: did you know that on the show How I Met Your Mother, nearly every time Barney spews out some ridiculous made up statistic it’s 83%? Sometimes it’s 8.3, but usually 83. Sorry, my watch battery made me think of that, and Jen and I are binging the holy hell out of that show right now.
Sorry, what was I talking about?
The Bruins lossed again tonight. I’m afraid to read a recap and find which players will be out injured next. It seems like every game costs us another player or two.
The Red Sox won at least. We are 2-3 right now, but at least we have a better record than Baltimore. That’s pretty sweet.
I’m watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. I’m not going to be able to finish it tonight. It’s quarter to 11:00 and I still have an hour to go. The question in the morning will be finish Guardians or watch the new episode of MoonKnight.
It’s going to be a tough call, man.
The contractor just brought over a pallet full of the flooring that is going to save our cellar from the nightmare that is the destroyed flooring that’s there now.
It is going to look so good.

So Guardians… I know I’ve seen it a bunch of times but I really didn’t remember a lot of it. I forgot that Thanos’ kids were working for the bad guy. I forgot that Thanos is actually in two scenes. I forgot the whole prison sequence. Weird.
Up next is Guardians Two. We’ve seen that one more recently. It’s not as good as the first one, but it’s still really good.
