Cleaning Day

My scrambled eggs seriously angered my stomach this morning. It’s been an hour and I still feel far from right.

I’m trying to clean the kitchen right now while also trying to ignore the stomach anger. Why won’t the chrome on the stove stop streaking? WTF?

I’ve been listening to metric tonnes of Genesis lately and I just decided that I will listen to The Lamb all the way through while cleaning. The whole double LP in one sitting. Think I can pull it off?

Running Low

I’m running low on shareable pics from Dad’s camera. Time to get some film developed. Maybe. I have one roll ready to go, a second roll in Dad’s camera with about 10 shots left, and a roll in my camera with about 34 shots left. Disney is coming in a few weeks and I’m still planning on shooting a ton of film on the trip, but anything shot before we go is probably not going to get developed until after we get home. Let’s not forget that developing is mildly expensive and it’s Christmas time, yo.

Anyway, this picture hasn’t been posted yet and it’s pretty good so here it is. Enjoy.

New Xmas Tradition

Today I have birthed a new official christmas tradition…

Ready?

While wrapping gifts, watch Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Yes, MST3K is traditionally more of a Thanksgiving thing, what with the old Turkey Day Marathons, but I feel it is a wonderful addition to your Xmas gift wrapping experience.

You’re welcome.

At Home and Loving It

I haven’t punched in to work yet, but after two days in a row of a 73 mile morning commute, I can definitively say that working from home is way better than working in the office. I’m home today and I’ll be home on Monday and then Tuesday and Wednesday I’m in Foxborough again. So it’s a brief respite from commuting, but it’s welcome and I am going to love every second of it.

There isn’t much going on this weekend. Cleaning in preparation for the holidays. Wrapping presents. Visiting my father. Worrying about my mother’s Covid. She’s still symptom-free but also still positive. We’re bringing one of the cars to the shop for a little maintenance. That’s actually preparation for us becoming a one car household in the very near future. I’ll write about that when it happens. I want to play guitar. I might want to do some car singing. I want to take some film pictures. That’s about it.

Here’s hoping today is a quiet day at work. I have a truck load of administrative stuff to do. I got through a chunk yesterday afternoon, but there is a ton more to go. Wish us luck today, folks. Have a happy Friday.

In the Office First

I tried to eat some lunch at 2:00pm today. I got maybe halfway through when my stomach got mad and made me stop.

I tried to have a protein bar to make up for it at about 4:00pm. One bite and my stomach got mad.

It was bound to happen eventually, but for the first time while in the office I had a bad reaction to food.

Crud.

Nerd Project

I have decided on a nerd project to take up some nerd time.

I’m going to re-read the entire Walking Dead comic. When that’s done I might rewatch the entire TV series.

The comic and the show are both finished so it seems like an appropriate time to review it all.

Nerd.
