Pre-Commute Plans

If I can pull this off it will make me happy.

Get up at 5:00am. Take the trash out to the street. Go down cellar, take my vitamins, and run in place until around 6:00am. Break out the Les Paul and record rhythm guitars on one, maybe two songs.

Make lunch, pack up my laptop, shower, get dressed, get on the road by 7:30.

Yeah, right. Good night, folks! It’s bed time!

I checked the mouse traps in the cellar. Nothing.

The cats, however, are on the hunt. They just attacked something on the other side of the room. Good luck, mouse hunters.

Just don’t bring any surprises onto our bed tonight, m’kay? Thanks.

Just Like the Bad Old Days

This is why I hate working in the office. Well, it’s one of the many reasons why working at home is infinitely preferable.

I drove for an hour this morning on both route 93 South and route 128 South without coming anywhere near the speed limit. From Methuen, MA to Waltham, MA at an average of probably 20 miles per hour. My 40 mile commute should have taken me about 40 minutes on the highway. Instead it took about 95 minutes.

No reason for it, just volume and gridlock. It’s infuriating. The best part is that I get to do it again tonight at around 5:30pm. Hoo-friggin’-ray.

Not Today

I was hoping to sneak some playing in before work today but it’s a commute day and I didn’t get out of bed early enough. Better luck tomorrow, I guess.
