What with the clock tower? Why there? Why so short?

No idea. It’s just a big, ugly clock in the middle of our downtown and I feel compelled to take a picture every time I drive past it.

LOL!!
It reminds me of the fire tower in our “Japan town” area near downtown Los Angeles. It’s too low for practicality, and I can’t imagine it ever having been a real fire tower. I think it was more of a tribute, but never bother to investigate… why kill an ongoing curiosity??
