Cleaning Music Part 2

I successfully listened to The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway all the way through without stopping. It was epic.

Now what? The Wall is the easiest choice but I feel like a need a more straight ahead rocker to cleanse the pallet.

I have just the thing!

Can you see the real me? Can ya?

Lifehouse

I made a playlist out of songs that might have been part of The Who’s abandoned Lifehouse movie soundtrack. The word is that two Who albums are made up of aborted attempts at bringing Lifehouse together, Who’s Next and Who Are you. There are a bunch of outtakes from Who’s Next that were also part of the project, and a few other songs from throughout their career. This is incomplete and the running order is sort of random, but it’s as valid as anything else (with the exception of Pete Townshend’s Lifehouse Chronicles demo collection).

What the Hell is That?

The wife and I have a date planned tonight.  We don’t have actual plans beyond planning to go out.  I got home from work first, changed out of my too big work shoes which are probably responsible for the agony that has returned to my right foot, opened up iTunes and airplay’d Tommy through the television’s sound system, sat down and let the cat start crawling me like a sherpa climbing Everest.

I happend to look toward the front door.

I happened to see out of the little window.

I happened to see the street light outside.

I happened to see that the street light was lighting up falling snow.

What the hell is that?  Snow?  But it can’t snow!  It’s date night and Spring is just a few days away!

Who Am I

I’ve been listening to Pete Townshend’s memoir in the car during my commutes.  I got through the release of A Quick One this morning.  That made me want to watch this.

The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus.  Rumor has it that the movie was shelved for almost 20 years because of the way The Who’s performance  completely destroyed the Stones’.

I believe it.
