Still planning to go with black and white once the film comes back into play. A couple of weeks, I think. Be prepared. I’m going to use Dad’s camera with his zoom lens to start with. I took a few shots with that lens before, but they were all on rolls that either jammed and got exposed when I had to open the back of the camera to fix the jam, or they were on the roll that broke. I’m also planning on getting (or trying to get) an adapter so that I can use Dad’s 50mm prime lens on my ebay Nikon. We’ll see.
Hanging blinds in the old bathroom has been on the to-do list since… 2014? Check it off. Done. Though we probably need to go with a different color for the curtain because… leeetal clashy.
These are much better than the other new blackout curtains we hung a few weeks ago. Upgrades, babie. Upgrades.
After some goofy back and forth to the store, the new cabinet is finally complete.
Yesterday during lunch I did some pruning on the Japanese Peace Lily in the bedroom. There were a lot of dead and dying leaves and branches, including the only flower. I yanked out a bunch of them and scissor’d off a bunch more. It was pretty bad. I was wondering if maybe the plant’s days were numbered.
Then last night before bed I noticed this:
A new flower is coming in! The plant lives!
51 year old me thinks that 20 year old me would think him insufferably lame for getting stoked over a flower. Them’s the breaks, 20 year old me.
My Days-without-contracting-Covid streak continues for at least one more day. Nice*.
*Yeah, I probably just jinxed myself. Oh well.

I had a Covid-19 booster shot yesterday, the Omicron specific sucker, and boy do I feel like shit today. Body aches, brain fog, and holy crap is the arm I got the shot in sore. File under: Ouch.
It’s a safe bet that today is going to be spent sitting in the living room pretending to watch the TV. I came up with a list of things to do today, mostly musical stuff, and then I actually got out of bed, felt my head swim, and rewrote the list. Today I am going to watch the five episodes of Star Wars Andor while pretending I am not 55% asleep.
Patches was kind enough to let me take her picture, so I don’t have to worry about the photo a day thing. Wasn’t that nice of her? Good kitty.
