Mohawk Trail

Yesterday was an unplanned trip to Connecticut. Today was an unplanned trip to Western Massachusetts. Specifically, the Mohawk Trail. Otherwise known as route 2. This is our best known scenic drive, and it was really great.

First we stopped at the French King Bridge which crosses the Connecticut River. My eighth grade Social Studies teacher used to tell us that Massachusetts to the West of the Connecticut River is god’s country. The views… it’s easy to understand what she was talking about.

Later, near the end of the drive, just outside of North Adams, MA, there is a sick hair pin turn. It’s nuts. Just before that turn there is a spot where the view is unreal. It’s like you can see for a billion miles.

Themes

I have been messing with the Theme on this page. I had one that I liked a lot… then I added a photo from Flickr and it didn’t know how to handle the aspect ratio and I ended up with a horrible squished mess.

To the trash, that theme goes.

How does this one look?

Not Today

I want to get up early and do a little photo walk around town. I wanted to do it today, but it’s cloudy and rainy and awful outside. Maybe tomorrow.

I want to get some castle wall pics, and maybe go into the bird sanctuary for some early leaf peeping. Then I’d have to go back again in a week or two to see how much things have changed.

Oh well.

Stupid rain.
