Birds – Again

I spent some time watching for birds today. I didn’t get any Earth shattering pics, but I did use shutter priority again, so that was good. I played with some lower ISO settings too. I just didn’t have any real moments where the birds played along.

The few birds that visited tended to stay on the other side of the feeder. They were literally screwing with me. The jerks.

So close… so not good.

If this guy were in focus it would be the best picture I’ve ever taken.

Birds

I’m sitting in the back yard with its freshly cut grass, watching the bird feeder with camera in hand.

The birds have been less than cooperative.

Deer Sightings

For the third straight morning I have seen at least one deer in the woods behind the house. I managed a pic or two today, but I’ll have to see how they look later. I hope this trend continues. I love seeing deer.

What is that Sound?

I had to run to the store for a minute. When I walked outside I heard the weirdest sound. I assume it’s a bird, but could it be something else? It sort of sounds like a turkey, but I can’t tell for sure.

You are going to have to crank the volume to hear the sound on the video. It sounded like it was moving away from me and by the time I got the phone out to try and capture the sound it was too far away to really come through. On top of that you have wind, and water running down the gutter on the side of the garage, and water dripping out of a hole right near the end of the gutter too. You probably will only hear this with headphones on and the volume way up, but give it a try and tell me if you know what bird or animal makes that sound.
