At work I could replace the return statement with H(0) which would terminate the program completely.

Hey Jen, does C# have a statement that can terminate an entire program? I can’t remember if C does or not.

Suffice to say, it’s raining and traffic bites.

I almost forgot! Today is my big sister’s birthday. Wish my sister Lisa a happy birthday! Quick, you’ve only got two hours and 23 minutes left!

The living room is a rectangle. One of the short walls has the fire place. One of the long walls has the bay window. Our initial plan was to put the television on the non-fire place short wall, and the couch on the non-bay window long wall. We’d then get a love seat and put it in front of the window and a comfy chair in the middle facing the television.

Not so much. That makes the people sitting on the biggest chair, the couch, have to look sideways to watch the tube. That’s more uncomfortable than we thought it would be. So, what about putting the couch in the middle of the room, bisecting it, and the love seat on the long wall and the chair in front of the window.

Nope. We thought we could put the couch in the middle and when we wanted to sit in front of the fire we could just spin it around. Unfortunately the room looks… kinda… stupid with the couch in the middle. Oh well, it worked in the old Salem apartment, but it isn’t working here.

The new plan that is forming has us getting a corner television stand and putting it in the corner where the bay window wall meets the fireplace. Then we put the couch on the big wall, the love seat on the little wall, and the chair by the window. We think that will work. Now we just have to pick a television stand.

What do you think? Are we making the right choice? (as if you could really answer that without seeing the room… I’ll get some pictures up soon.)

Apparently the Border Cafe has started putting cheese in the French quarter chicken sauce. This is suck on a grand scale.

I was just wondering something…

We’re thinking of getting a cat. More than thinking, actually, we are pretty certain we are getting a cat. The only question is when and what do we name it (Ringo).

I was thinking… will being a cat owner turn me into one of those people who flood their Flickr accounts with pictures of their cats? Even worse, will I become one of those people who opens a second account specifically for pictures of my cat?

Yeah. Probably.

My favorite road work is road work done at 6:00pm.

I used to listen to WBZ radio’s traffic reports on the way to work. At some point along the way I stopped listening to WBZ radio’s traffic reports on the way to work.

Today I forgot exactly why I stopped and listened again.

Oh, now I remember. I stopped listening because it’s not accurate!

They reported route 495 South being slow between routes 114 and 93. My wife had just ridden South on route 93 and said it was colossally awful. WBZ radio disagreed. I trust Jen over anyone or anything so I risked 495.

Well… it was slow between 114 and 93. I think a better adjective than “slow” would have been “stopped” but that’s just me. What they failed to mention was the gridlock prior to the double decker bridge in Lawrence, and the small tidbit of a factoid that the 114 to 93 jam was actually more like 114 to Woburn Street (at least).

Check a map. You’ll understand why that little tidbit of info might have come in handy. It took me two hours to get to work today. I was 15 minutes late. If I had known the truth about 495 I would have found another way. Thank you so much WBZ radio’s traffic report. Thank you oh so very much.
