A leaky gutter leads to erosion at work. Nature is a wonder, eh?

Weird Christmas
Rough Day
Today is the kids’ last day of school before Christmas vacation. Why they are off Monday and Tuesday of next week, I’ll never know. Anyway, I still have to work those days, and there is a Mt Everest sized pile of work still to do before Christmas Eve… But knowing their vacation starts today is making me feel like my vacation (I don’t actually get a vacation) starts today.
In other words, today is going to be a long, long day.
Oggl Update
Oggl has updated their entire ui. The photography functions are unchanged but the social aspects have been redesigned. I like the new look. It gives a quick link to the users you follow, global updates, hot updates, and surprisingly… Instagram. The search functions have been broken up by categories which is nice. Now if only people would start using it. Hipstamatic is generally my fav camera app, but I just started using camera+ and I think it might blow the Hipsta-oggle combo out of the water. Who knows?
I wanted a new oggl pic to share with this post, but the cat wasn’t around. Settle for my USB keyboard.
I really like Oggl, but like I said, I am the only human I know who actually uses it.
Broken Record
Remember last night when I posted that the traffic coming home on 128 moved just as slow as it did the night before during the snow storm? Remember that?
For a pretty decent stretch on route 128 south this morning, the traffic moved just as slow as it did Tuesday night during the snow storm.
You see there was a closure on Storrow Drive in Boston, so every major highway in the state of Massachusetts was gridlocked almost everywhere withing a 30 mile radius.
Merry Christmas.
Repeat
This is probably getting repetitive, but I am so damn sick of winter… and it hasn’t even started yet.
I am not joking in the least when I tell you that the traffic on route 128 North tonight was moving just as slow as it moved during the snow storm last night.
Are you kidding me?
San Diego, here we come!

Our Neighbor is Awesome
This morning before work I was out shoveling the driveway. I was just finishing up the last of the plow-induced snow bank at the street when I saw our neighbor walking his snow blower down the street in my direction. He stopped at the fire hydrant and kicked the holy hell out of the snow the hydrant was buried under.
I don’t know his name. I just know that he’s the king.
Thanks, neighbor!
Snowmageddon!
Jen had a training in Boston today. When word of the traffic nightmare trickled in she booked a hotel room to avoid it. Going to Boston cut my snow drive in half, so I joined her. 22 miles in 2 hours and 15 minutes or so. I was stopped enough in town to snap a few pics.
Bestsy done good tonight, despite the wiper issues.
And one more from the sidewalk.
