This one will get a little more personal than I’m used to getting. Don’t be scared or offended, okay? But if you are scared you can leave now (don’t, this is silly).
I actually set my alarm for quarter to 5am, fully intending to go get a pic of the sunrise over the ocean. When the alarm went off I hit snooze, of course. I said quietly to my wife, the beautiful Jennifer, will you be mad at me if I go to the beach? She said no. Will you be annoyed, I said. No, she said. Then she snuggled up against me. Aww. She said, I won’t be mad if you go, but wouldn’t you rather stay here all snuggly and comfy?
I shut off the alarm and stayed right where I was. Right where I belonged.
