I took a bunch of pictures of my Strat at lunch today. I ended up using the DSLR, the point and shoot, and the iPhone. I don’t know if I can use any of them. The color is too blue. The guitar finish is more green than you can see in any of the images. I tried flash, I tried no flash. I tried low ISO, I tried high ISO (even though ISO doesn’t have anything to do with color, I was just hoping more light would improve the look).
Oh well. We’ll see.
This morning at work has been INSANE. Crazy upon crazy upon crazy. I went upstairs to go to the bathroom in one of the brief breathing moments and figured I’d take a quick pic of Bertha, seeing as I haven’t documented Bertha’s progress for a while.
Bertha is HUGE, but she hasn’t grown a lot over the last week or two. She’s starting to open up a new leaf now, but it’s been a while since I saw any clear signs of growth. I’m a little worried about those spots on the Ficus though. Those don’t look happy.
Anyway, this will be my photo-a-day pic because I am not going to have time for anything more elaborate.
Duck and cover, it’s back to work time.
The weather is kinda crummy today but in the interest of the photo-a-day thing and avoiding crowds at supermarkets I found myself taking the back roads through Salem, NH and I stopped at Canobie Lake and snapped a couple pics. They suck, but so what?
The question now is, are we going back to Vermont again? Bellana and her roommates were in Massachusetts yesterday and they stopped at the house for a quick hello. We think one of them left their coat here because there is a coat in the dining room that doesn’t belong to either of us. It’s cold out today so we may be bringing it back to whichever roommate left it. No clear plans yet, but we’ll see.
I had to step outside today to take out the trash and I saw this hideous monster. How can we live in a world where an evil like this exists?
Also, you’d think that living in the woods in New England would mean we’d have some cool fall colors. Not really. In our back yard the leaves go from green to ugly yellow to dead on the ground. Oh well.
Jen and I talked about going leaf peeping up on the Kanc this weekend. It’s probably a smidgen too early, but it will be a fun day if we go.
The sun coming in through the dining room window looked groovy and I hadn’t taken any pics yet so I took a few.
We needed to go to Jen’s office tonight because she forgot something. Our efforts were foiled by this locked door.
Epic fail.
The fail did lead to today’s photo a day winner though.

How’d you spend your lunch break? I did this along with changing the litter box and bringing a giant, super heavy package into the house. Is it 5:30pm yet?
I can do better than this… maybe. This might not be the final word for today. We’ll see. Worst case scenario, I corner the cat before I go to sleep.
The Japanese Peace Lilly has a new flower!
Unfortunately, here is the oldest flower… what’s left of it. Well past time for some pruning.
There are three flowers currently. I really want more. The middle flower is going to be brown death any minute now.
