No Northern Lights for Us

The Northern Lights have been visible in my little piece of Massachusetts tonight! Did we see it?

No. Don’t be silly.

We did hop in the car and drive a couple of towns to the North and parked ourselves at a park with a big open field and very little ambient light. We waited, facing North, until it got too cold and then we got back in the car and just looked North. Then after half an hour or so we just drove home.

We tried, but we didn’t see anything. No Northern Lights for us.

Oh well.

Still Awake

I said earlier that the Bruins game in Los Angeles was starting after my bed time. It did, but I’m still awake. Oh and they’re losing. Nice.

I didn’t get out to look for the northern lights last night, and I won’t tonight either. I have trees blocking the horizon to the north, so I doubt I’d see anything.

The Kings just killed off a penalty. The Bruins are still losing.

Go Bruins!

Northern Lights

Read this story.

How cool is that? New England might be able to see the Northern Lights tonight. I’ve never seen the Northern Lights with my own eyes. How awesome would it be to see them tonight? If I find myself awake in the wee small hours I might consider popping outside with my camera.

Of course it’s going to be 16 or 17 degrees out, so maybe I’ll stay in bed.
