Comic Book Kitty

Jen and I are both at home, sitting on couch using our laptops. I have a goal to learn how to write an iOS application. The deadline for that goal is roughly some day before I die. I want to install the development tool kit onto my MacBook Pro, but I have to upgrade my OS first. As I sit here waiting for the download to finish, it occurs to me that I have never submitted the cat to Photo Booth.

That oversight has been taken care of.

Cat Sense

As someone who has a pet cat but knows absolutely nothing about what makes Ms Kitty’s brain tick, I listened to an interview on NPR last night with an author named John Bradshaw who has written a book called Cat Sense.

Check it out, or just read the article. Thanks to this interview I was able to spend 20 minutes this morning fascinating the kids with talk of cat behaviors and why they do what they do.

You can learn why laser pointers are so much fun. You can learn what those little dead mice really mean. (we have one in our driveway right now… even though Patches is a 100% indoor cat. Coincidence? Yes. Will I clear the carcass? Yes, but probably not until tomorrow morning… unless some other critter gets it first)
