Is North Carolina the adult store/club capital of the world, or just the adult store/club billboard capital of the world?

I don’t think these two things are necessarily related, but last night Jen was sick to her stomach before bed. This morning I woke up feeling the same way. So now we are both feeling sick, and we are about to head out on our 1000+ mile drive.

I suppose it could be a psychosomatic response to the imminent end of our awesome vacation, but it’s more likely the humongous meal we had last night.

I also might have just suffered a minor heart attack or stroke or something like that.

When my in-laws came to Disney about 11 years ago, Sherman bought Charlotte a pearl from a vendor in Downtown Disney. You did not actually buy the stone itself, you bought an oyester and they crack it open for you and pull out the pearl and then set it into a piece of jewelery.

Yesterday Sherman bought one for my step daughter too. It is beautiful, and an absolutely wonderful present for her.

Before going to bed last night I put it into Jen’s purse. This morning after going out to help load the car, I went into our room and Jen asked me where it was. I went to her purse to get it and it was not there.

That is the closest to death by fright this vacationing blogger has ever come.

After a search of the room, Jen found it. She had accidentally moved it out of her bag with a couple of other items and it was safe all along.

Thank all the Gods and Fates and Lucks and Good Fortunes that mankind have ever had available to thank.

…but now…

We are heading home.

We went to the Magic Kingdom again today. We also stopped at Downtown Disney and went to the biggest Disney store in creation.

Now we are back at the hotel for a very, very quick stop before going to a Disney resort hotel for Chef Mickey.

Then tomorrow we start the trek homeward.

Today we are doing things differently. Instead of getting up early and racing to the park we went swimming at the hotel. Now we are going to breakfast, and after that we will return to the Magic Kingdom for another day packed with rides and fun.

Okay you talked me into the unbelievable filet mignon.

The verdict after our first of two days at the Magic Kingdom (from my step son’s PoV):

“Splash Mountain could be the best ride ever,” and “Pirates of the Carribean was kinda boring.”

We went on Soarin’ twice. It was awesome both times. We did The Seas with Nemo and now were are heading for Turtle Talk With Crush… Duuuude.

First off, I hope everyone had a happy Memorial Day.

We spent the day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Two years ago when we came here with Larry and Nawal, Jen and I were both sick on Animal Kingdom day and we barely got as far as the entrance before turning around and taking a cab back to the hotel.

The Safari was so cool. The tigers were awesome. We didn’t get to go on the Kali River Rapids, but that is our current first choice to do on Thursday (our one day that we kept plan-free.)

Today we’re going to Epcot. I am looking forward to… well… everything.

More important though, is today’s international day of celebration.

NEW RUSH!!!

I bought the new single on iTunes. I just finished Caravan and it gets an A from me. I just started listening to BU2B and the first 40 seconds (that’s all I’ve heard so far) gets an A++.

(oh, and the Chicago Blackhawks lead the Stanley Cup finals 2 games to none. Excellent!)

Yesterday we spent most of the day at Sea World, we visited the hotel’s ginormous pool, and then Jen and I went out for an anniversary dinner at the top rated independent steakhouse in the country, Charley’s in Kissimmee. It was a fantastic day.

Today we are heading to Animal Kingdom for another great day.
