Weekend in Review
This weekend I cleaned the bathroom, cleaned the kitchen, cleaned the dining room, cleaned the mud room, cleaned the hallway, watched the Bruins lose in double overtime, recorded some guitars onto two old songs that I am finally getting around to finishing, watched the Red Sox win, had dinner with the love of my life, watched some Big Bang theory, went to sleep but had a really hard time staying asleep, woke up, got my hair cut, ran a couple of errands, started working on finishing another old song (that brings me to four currently in progress), celebrated my father’s 70th birthday with brunch at the Westford Regency hotel, marveled at how ridiculously cute my niece and three nephews are, went shopping with my wife to try and get a few things we and the kids need for our trip to San Diego, did some more work on one of those old songs, did a truck load of laundry, finally folded the ten billion unfolded socks that have been sitting in a laundry basket for ever, had dinner with the love of my life, cleaned up a little bit around the living room, but not too much, followed the Red Sox online as they won again, watched a show on the History channel about exploring the wreckage of the Titanic, commented to the love of my life that watching that show was sort of like watching grave robbers in action, watched in shock as the History channel lowered itself to the lowest point in television history by airing a reality show where the contestants learned to joust, went to bed and slept like the dead until just before the alarm went off this morning.
Did I miss anything?
April 15, 2012
Today is April 15th. If this date fell on a weekday it would be tax day in the United States. That’s the day when our income tax returns are due.
However, since today is a Sunday, April 15th is just my father’s birthday.
Happy birthday, Dad!
It is Happening Again
It’s only game 2. I’ve had 11.5 heart attacks since the overtime started.
What the hell? It’s only game 2!
Go Bruins!

The Red Sox are losing 5-3 in the third inning. Way to pitch like a chump, Clay. I should have flamed your ass two hours ago. Either start pitching like you mean it, or go eat some damn chicken.
Game 2
Red Sox
Do you think Josh Beckett read what I wrote about him yesterday? I expressed some negativity toward him including my belief that he should have been traded or even released after last season. How did he respond? Eight fantastic innings pitched in yesterday’s blow out Sox win in the home opener.
I should bitch about Clay Buchholtz today, huh?
Still, one awesome win does not a turn around make. They are still a stunning 2-5 on the season so far. Let’s talk about a turn around when they are 10 games over .500.
The Red Sox play again this afternoon at 4:00. Who cares, the Bruins play at 3:00. Game one was a hell of a game, but needing more than thee periods to score one goal off of a third string goalie is worrisome to say the least. Defensively the Bruins were perfect on Thursday. Now today the offense has to show up and put this minor leaguer in his place, while still magically holding Alex Ovetchkin to one shot.
A couple of quick thoughts on a couple of other series. First, hey Marc Andre Fluery… WTF? Two losses, two blown leads, and what, 12 goals against? Or is it 13, I can’t remember if it was 5-4 or 4-3 in game one, but what the hell, Penguins? They can’t all be Fluery’s fault. What, did you think just having Crosby and Malkin show up would give you the series? How about some freakin’ defense? I HATE THE FLYERS!!!! You Penguin pukes have to beat them.
The second non-Bruins statement I would like to make is this:
Hell yeah, L.A. Kings! Keep up the good work! Two more wins and Canucks fans get to riot again. Go Kings!
More importantly though, GO BRUINS!
