Two Work Days

I know I just went on a huge vacation last month but…

Two days to the long weekend.

Two.

Bleedin’.

Days.

It can’t get here fast enough, it really can’t.

Unrelated sports comments.  The Kings are in the Stanley Cup Finals.  The Devils are one win away from being in the Stanley Cup Finals.  The Red Sox have clawed their way back to .500 at 22-22 but they are still in last place in the AL East.  Only 5.5 games out though.

The long Memorial Day weekend will make things even better.

Please!

Chirp

We went TV free tonight. My step son is in bed, my step daughter is about to go to bed, my wife is on her iMac coding like a whirling dervish, and I’m trying to get some Clive Barker audiobooks onto my iCloud account.

In other words, we are all being very quiet. That means there is no noise inside of the house to drown out the sound of that damn cricket just outside the living room window.

Damn that bug is loud!

Google Doodle Alert

This post honors two events.

First, today was Google Day at the company I work for.  After 40 or so years of not using other software company’s systems we finally broke the mold and adopted Google products.  I’ve been sending work emails through Gmail all day.  I just had a spreadsheet shared with me via Google Docs.  It’s the 21st century at last!

Second, tomorrow is Bob Moog’s birthday and Google will have a doodle that is a model of a Moog Synthesizer… and it’s going to be playable.  Australia and Japan can already play with it.  I have an urge to stay up until midnight so I can celebrate the 78th birthday of the man who helped make Prog Rock what it is.

Happy Google Day, everyone!

Need

Work is being difficult this week. There is only one thing in the universe that can make me feel better.

Can you guess what that one thing is? (Use the picture as a hint, and let me add that it is not the ocean, or the state in which the picture was taken, or any “idea” such as “vacation” or anything abstract like that. It is some one that is clearly in the photo.)
