Happy (early) Xmas to me!

Band tonight, choir tomorrow.

I’ve got all of the IKEA stuff put together. We still have one non-IKEA item to go, and some bedroom furniture to move between rooms, and some smoke detectors to hang, and ten tons of garbage bags to get rid of. After that……. it’s time to hang Christmas decorations.

All I want is a good, solid night without lifting heavy crap followed by a good, solid eight hours of sleep.

Maybe some time around mid-January. If I’m lucky.

I’m siting at my desk in our new office (formerly my step son’s bedroom). The whole house is asleep, except for me. There is an owl outside somewhere, not very close, who is hooting up a storm. It’s pretty cool. I’d like to see an owl out in the yard some day (night). I’ve heard them a few times but I’ve never seen them.

Why am I still up when the rest of the house is asleep?

Because I just finished making a huge piece of IKEA furniture my bitch, that’s why.
