The New Apple Music App

I’ve been messing with the new Apple Music app for MacOS over the last couple of days.  Basically it is the functionality from the old iTunes that handled the mp3 player, the file structure, and Apple Music.  Everything works, but good heavens it is the slowest thing I’ve used since the dawn of broadband connection speeds.  It is unbelievably slow.  Apple Music is a complete mess.  You click For You, or Browse, and then you wait an eternity for the screen to draw.  It’s amazing how slow it is.

Is it just me?

  1. I don’t subscribe to Apple Music but I do use iTunes, and the same thing happens to me. Just to open the iTunes app on the desktop is torture! I only open it every so often, like when I want to redeem an iTunes gift card, but when I do I always have to grit my teeth and bite the bullet for the long wait. For such an innovative, technical company, you’d think it would open and maneuver in a snap!
