Everyone says that if you play through a muff style pedal you have to find a way to boost the mid range frequencies or else you’re getting lost in the mix. Many people recommend putting the fuzz after an overdrive or a clean boost. Well, I have an overdrive.
This particular setup sounds okay through my Fender Deluxe Reverb at low volumes. Not perfect, but not bad.

Will that work through my noisy Marshall on Sunday? I guess we’ll have to see.
The OCD would stay on all the time. The Bass Muff would be for rhythm. The white Muff would be for leads, and as you can see the volume knob is up higher than the green Muff.
I was also hoping this would cut down on some of the really bad hum I’m getting through my NYC Muff at band practice. The Nano was okay, noise wise, before, but today with this setup it there was a lot of noise. It could be that I was using a power supply instead of a 9v battery. It could also have been the noisy lights in the cellar. Not sure. We’ll see how it flies on Sunday.
Maybe my next pedal will just be an EQ.
