Been a While

I did something this weekend that I hadn’t done in quite a while.

I watched two Bruins games, more or less all the way through. Well, that’s not true. I listened to the first two periods of yesterday’s game on the radio and then watched the third on the tube. Today I watched the whole bleedin’ thing.

Lo and behold, the two games were both wins! The wonders ne’er cease! The Bruins currently hold the final Eastern Conference playoff spot and they have a four point lead over Florida, and a seven point lead over Ottawa and Philadelphia. I would like to say that I am confident they will make the playoffs, but my mother told me not to tell lies.

I’m a tiny bit optimistic that they have another hot streak in them and that it will propel them into the playoffs and out of the first round. Unfortunately though, I’m also a realist and… well… they just aren’t that good this year.

Here’s hoping for the best in the coming weeks.
