Spontaneous trip.
Let’s go to New York City.
(after work, of course).

Haiku for You #219
Something about today was just weird. I don’t know.
One day’s heavy rain,
Throws off my entire world.
Now swim for your life!
Haiku for You #218
A seasonal, weather related haiku for you.
I am sick of it.
The calendar says it’s fall,
The air says winter.
Haiku for You #217
Thanksgiving Day is,
The best holiday for me,
and it’s almost here!
Haiku for You #216
Just in case you were wondering if I am still constantly thinking about Tuesday’s total disaster or not…
I feel so bad for
My step daughter and my wife
Our country fails them
There’s a line in a Jefferson Airplane song that I always thought was absolutely brutal. It referred to the war so it doesn’t exactly relate to our current situation:
War’s good business so give your son
And I’d rather have my country die for me(from Rejoice, written by Grace Slick)
That second line… for the first time in my life I sort of get it. I think I would say I’d rather have my country die for them then for me, but you get the idea. I’m paraphrasing here.
Haiku for You #215
How about an election day haiku? Slanted to my candidate, of course.
Did you vote today?
If not, there is still time left.
Harris ’24
If you aren’t getting it, read that last line, “Harris twenty-four”. Five syllables.
Haiku for You #214
Daylight Savings Time,
Coming to an end again.
Why do we bother?
Haiku for You #213
A haiku for you that’s sort of about being punished for taking yesterday off.
Super busy day.
Not sure where it all came from.
Guess I deserved it.
Haiku for You #212
A Halloween Haiku for you. More like a movie reference though.
To quote Highlander:
Happy Halloween, ladies.
(The bad guy says that)
Haiku for You #211
A haiku for you inspired by the upcoming US election. Let’s do this!
Are you ready yet?
Ready to go to the polls?
It’s time to end this.
