A Friday afternoon haiku for you!

It’s been a long day.
Quietly the work week stops.
Bring me that weekend.

Our two little cats,
Running around like crazy.
Must be the catnip.

I forgot how much,
I missed being in the rink.
Let’s watch more hockey.

Today’s haiku is inspired by a time off request.

It’s a long weekend.
Booked a day off on Monday.
Why not all weekends?

There is one person,
Who always makes life better.
She is my wife, Jen.

I am freezing cold.
My skin must be turning blue.
Yeah, this is the worst.

I had a bit of an accident while helping to prepare our Thanksgiving Part Deux dinner on Saturday. I did not share any information at the time, but now I feel like it rates a haiku for you. Enjoy.

Potato peeler,
Took a chunk of my finger.
Bleeding everywhere.

We had our family Thanksgiving celebration today. I cut the hell out of my finger while peeling potatoes. Here, have a haiku.

Gobble Gobble Dudes!

A Thanksgiving haiku for you. I wrote this at about 10:00am. It’s almost 7:30pm now. This would have worked much better if I posted it before everyone ate their traditional turkey dinners. Sorry.
