I was worried there for a while, but the Red Sox got it done today.

Man Card Renewed
Oh yeah. Who changed that broken toilet seat? I did. Consider my man card renewed for another day. *

* No, my man card was not renewed. It has been on permanent probation since that day my T-Bird’s battery died while I was changing a popped tire on route 125 in Wilmington.
It’s Time
I think it might be time.
Doucher
There might be a douchebag in that mirror.
Been a While
I haven’t been to this particular place in quite a while. Only one kid tonight and only one lesson.
First Practice Since July
Tonight we had our first band practice since the last gig, in late July!
I have some really sweet gear. First band practice use of the Wren and Cuff, Keeley, and TC Electronic pedals. They were all awesome:

I installed a decibel meeter on my iPhone. I tried it out at practice tonight. During the one song it was running we peaked at 114.2 DB. This site has this to say about 110 decibels:
Steel mill, auto horn at 1 meter. Turbo-fan aircraft at takeoff power at 200 ft (118 dB). Riveting machine (110 dB); live rock music (108 – 114 dB).
Average human pain threshold. 16 times as loud as 70 dB.
I’m pretty sure this image is not going to work for most of you. If so… it says we hit 114.2 decibels, which I’ve already told you:

The band is back, boys and girls! WOOHOO

Cleo
I Haven’t Posted in Two Days
They Are Coming Back!
Letters to Cleo is coming back to Boston for three nights in November, and this time they are bringing The Blake Babies with them! It’s an early 90’s Boston music bonanza!
I’ve seen Cleo about 103513 times but I’ve never seen The Blake Babies. They were gone before I started going to shows in town. I did see Juliana Hatfield a couple of times though.
I have no idea if we’ll be able to go to any of these shows, but I’ll figure it out and if we can we will.
Cleo!!
