The Cat Sleeps, The Redhead is Jealous

I walked into the living room and my wife was at her desk with headphones on and she was crying. I asked what was wrong.
This was her answer:

I don’t have a pedal hoarding problem, you have a pedal hoarding problem!
My wife is amazing. Did you know that? Yeah, it’s one of the billion or so reasons why I love her.
A good pet would keep me company while I’m stuck home sick. Patches? Nothing.

I stayed home sick today. I was working on a big deal of an issue on Friday, but I was in just too rough shape to go in today. I had to pass it off to someone else. I feel awful about that, but the guy I asked to take over is actually a better coder than I am so if something comes up today (I don’t think it will, I think we covered all the bases on Friday) the customer will be in good hands. I still feel like crap about it though.
Feeling sick today is karma. I was the one who canceled band practice last night. A stomach bug is the universe’s way of calling me a dick. Sorry guys. I’ll make it up to you.
I actually feel a little better now than I did at 6:30 am when I went back to bed. I can’t tell if that’s because I am better, or because I just haven’t eaten anything yet. I am a big fat guy who is literally afraid to eat. That’s how bad I felt when I woke up at 3:30 am or so. Yikes.
One of my neighbors has been running a weed wacker for a solid 30 minutes. I’m thinking he might actually be mowing his lawn with it. The things you see when you stay home sick, am I right?
Speakers up. Listen for the screeching sound. You’ll know it when you hear it. What makes that sound?
Have you ever heard of something called blackout curtains?
Neither had I, until today.
It was my beloved’s idea, and I think it looks pretty good.
