My home recordings were missing one crucial component. Luckily I was able to acquire it at Epcot Center last week.

I watched an episode of That Pedal Show today where they discussed the benefits of backing off the gain on your overdrive pedals. Somehow less really can be more. I tried it today. Oh yeah, magic.

She was pretty pissed off at us yesterday, but she seems to have forgiven us today. Good kitty.

I had never messed around with the Aperture priority setting on my camera. I’ve used Shutter priority, and lots of presets, but I’ve never tried the A.

Until now.

Not so good, but it sort of did what I wanted.

I did a few others, but these are the ones that sort of worked sort of.

Ever wondered what the top of the huge drop at Splash Mountain looks like at about midnight on a Thursday in July?

 

I wanted to shoot the whole drop but the burst stopped working after three. Then when we got to the bottom the camera got soaked. Whoops.

It’s not just a flight, it’s an adventure.

We are at a gate in Orlando International Airport. It’s not our gate, but it’s a gate. Our gate is about 100 yards away and all the seats are full. Our flight was delayed twice before we even left the hotel. We’ve got a tidy 3+ hours to kill. Good thing I downloaded a shit load of Dio era Rainbow records into my phone. There might be a couple of Dio era Black Sabbath records too. Lucky.

We are putting on a concert, or something.

Today is our last full day in Florida. We are spending it at Epcot. I’m conflicted because I don’t want the trip to end, but I’m also ready to go home. I guess I don’t know what I want right now.

We are hanging out in Japan right now. We have dinner reservations in Germany in a couple of hours. After that maybe we go back to the hotel and dip in the pool before starting to pack.

It’s scorching hot around here today, but I bet it’s nearly as hot at home. It’s been a great trip. I guess I wish we could bring Disney home with us.
