You know you’re an old fart when going to the eye doctor is a major event. I ordered two new pairs of glasses. This time the progressives will also be transitions. Oooooh, babie!

@robertjames1971.blog I have to go back in a month for follow-up. It's not actually the first time this has happened but it gets more serious. We are looking for signs of glaucoma. We have increasing small indications but one needs sensitive instruments to see them. So we are very early.
BTW I use bifocals, not progressives. Have for over 20 years. But nowadays mostly wear single prescription glasses I buy online in different prescriptions for different ranges of vision 🙂

I’m really reluctant to get transitions because I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews on them. Maybe it’s because I live in Michigan where it is perpetually “partly cloudy“ and it seems like no one‘s transitions ever fully… Transition.

I tried progressives but kept falling over and not because of drinking!
