I have nothing to say. Nothing at all. This doesn’t happen often. On normal days I can come up with stuff to write boring posts about, but not today.
The Bruins kicked off the Taylor Hall era (Taylor or Tyler… off to the Google, be right back… Taylor) with a win last night. He didn’t factor in the scoring or in the shootout (ugh). Some of the other new guys did, but not former MVP Taylor Hall. He was having pretty much the worst season imaginable in Buffalo prior to the trade. I like the idea of him as a Bruin. I’m not sure I am going to like the reality though.
Speaking of worst seasons imaginable, the Red Sox had one last year. I think all of us expected another awful year this year. Maybe a smidge better, but still bad. Now I know we’re only 10 games into the season and that is barely a drop in the well, but they are currently in first place in the AL East. They lost their first three games to Baltimore and then proceeded to win the next seven. A couple of those wins being come back wins in extra innings. Dare I say it? The Red Sox (so far at least) are fun to watch. Holy crap! I have to say that I barely recognize any of them, but after 10 games? Not bad! They are playing a double header against the Twinkies today. The Twinks are a .500 team so far. None of this means anything yet, the sample size of games is too small, but here’s hoping we bump that seven game win streak up to eight and nine.
There’s a lot going on in Robbie world these days but I don’t quite feel comfortable talking about them… which I know is hard to believe given my ridiculous oversharing history. Maybe I’ll write something in a few days. We’ll see. For now, I have so much to do at work today that my head is spinning a little. I’m having a late lunch right now but I’ll be back to it shortly.
