The Day After

Thanksgiving was much lower key than expected but still wonderful.  Jen and the kids were all sick so we were more than happy to let all of our planned guests stay away.  The turkey was moist and delicious, the stuffing was perfection, and the mashed potatoes were delectable.  Even while sick as a dog, my beautiful bride Jennifer is utterly amazing.

Today is gig day/high school reunion day.  Guess who woke up sick.  Go on, guess.  Oh I’ll tell you, it was me.  I’m okay though, not nearly as bad as everyone else.  I figure I have a day or two until things get really bad.  Lucky it’s a long weekend.

So I have a lot to do today.  I need to finish the last of the Thanksgiving clean up, prep for the gig, and…

  1. Thank goodness you’re not really, really sick! Just wanted to wish you well for your gig tonight. I know it’s going to go just fine. Then, try to relax for a day or two before having to go back to work and get into the whole Christmas panic. Maybe you’ll get lucky and won’t get sick after all. Fingers crossed!
