Check out this video. It shows the point of view of a photon of light traveling from the surface of the sun to Jupiter. In real time. Meaning it takes a couple of minutes to get to Mercury. It takes a couple more to get to Venus. It takes more than four minutes to go from Earth to Mars. The only negative I’ve found so far (I just passed Mars) is that it uses Vesta to represent the inner asteroid belt, not Ceres. It should have used Ceres. Ceres is awesome sauce.
Addendum: It uses Vesta AND Ceres! Awesome! It’s also 45 minutes long so there is no way I’m watching this to the end tonight! WOOHOO
