| Body | The link below is for an article posted on the guardian’s website. It was written by a guy named Simon Napier-Bell. I know of him from his time spent managing The Yardbirds in the mid 60’s. If memory serves, he sold them to Mickie Most who hooked them up with a road manager named Peter Grant. The meeting of Grant and Yardbirds guitarist Jimmy Page lead to a little band called Led Zeppelin taking over the world in the 70’s. But I digress…
This is a very interesting article about how the music industry has been systematically destroying itself over the last 40 years or so. I knew about a lot of the crap that was going on, but it’s fun to have it spelled out by someone who’s had to deal with it through all that time. |
