“During the investigation, evidence was obtained including positive tests for the presence of anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing substances for Bonds and other professional athletes,” the 10-page indictment states. “Barry Lamar Bonds, unlawfully, willfully, and knowingly, did corruptly endeavor to influence, obstruct, and impede the due administration of justice, by knowingly giving Grand Jury testimony that was intentionally evasive, false, and misleading,” the indictment concludes. As far as I’m concerned, Hank Aaron is still the Home Run King, but now we have to start hoping that some one can pass Bonds and clean this ugly stain off of the record books. Unfortunately, the guy with the best shot at breaking the record resigned with the friggin’ Yankees for 10 years at $275 million dollars. Alex Rodriguez.
