The Red Sox take a 2 games to 0 series lead over the Rockies with a fantastic 2-1 victory in game 2. I am so tired right now that I can barely think so fogive me for the lazy spelling and grammar and thinking. 3.5 hours of edge of your seat baseball. Every pitcher who took the mound tonight did a great job. Some better than others of course, and none more impressive than Hideki Okajima. I think he pitched 2 and a third innings after coming in to relieve Curt Schilling in the 6th and leaving with two outs in the 8th. He just sliced through the Colorado line up like a hot knife through butter. It was beautiful. Tomorrow is a day off, and the series resumes with game 3 from Denver on Saturday night. I can’t wait. I need the Red Sox to sweep this series because I swear my heart stopped about 5 times during the game tonight. I just don’t think I can take more than four games worth of this stress. Go Sox! |
