Body It’s after midnight and I’m still up.  I should have gone to bed two hours ago, but when it comes to a sleep schedule I’m sort of a friggin’ idiot.  The downside of being a night owl is the day job.  Sucks sometimes.

About three years ago I got a job and bought a cell phone.  I’ve had cell phones since about 1994 or so.  The first one was a great big gigantic thing that looked like it came from a James Bond movie.  The phone I bought three years ago was a cheap LG.  Nothing special.

I’d been thinking about getting a new one for a while now but hadn’t gotten around to it.  Today I was given a phone number that I wanted to add to my contact list so I opened up the phone and… it didn’t open.  The flip up half of the flip phone had a great big crack in it and it wouldn’t open all the way.  I guess that settled it… time for a new phone.

I went to the Verizon store in the Pheasant Lane mall in Nashua, NH.  I wanted to keep the same service plan I had and just upgrade the phone.  I picked out another cheap LG… the last one was pretty good, let’s try it again.  I was told I was next in line for sales and I ended up waiting 40 minutes.  How’s that for customer service.  I was next… and waited 40 minutes.

I told Jen (my first call on the new phone… Hi Jen!) that I went to Nashua instead of Salem because if I had been at the Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem, NH I would have gotten pissed off after about 20 minutes and walked over to the Apple store and bought an iPhone.  I can’t afford an iPhone… I absolutely do not want to have anything to do with AT&T… and the iPhone itself is probably buggy anyway.  All good reasons to not buy an iPhone…

But I REALLY want an iPhone.

I am such a gadget sucker.

Not to change the subject, but what the hell is wrong with the Red Sox?  The September collapse is supposed to happen in September, not August.  This sucks.

Well… in two months it will be hockey season again and when my teams suck it will just be the normal way of things.

That’s enough drivel for tonight kids.  Sweet dreams.
