My 200th Blog Post

I just wish I had something more exciting to post about tonight.  Last night Jen and I went to see The Dave Matthew’s Band at the-venue-formerly-known-as-Great-Woods.  We left Natick at 6:00 and got to our seats at 8:35.  How’s that for an effective use of our evening?  The show was excellent.  I must admit that I am not really a DMB fan, but I knew by reputation that they put on a great show.  We got there late and left before the encore, Jen was on-call and we were getting paranoid about the phone ringing… and we were both completely wiped out, but what we saw was fantastic.  We had a great time.

Let’s see… what else can I write about… what else…

Oh yeah, tomorrow’s plans include another viewing of The Simpson’s movie.  More importantly I got my copy of Hot Fuzz on DVD today.  I don’t think any of the huge blockbuster movies released this year are anywhere near as good as Hot Fuzz.  Go see it, it’s friggin’ hysterical.  Go see it.  Rent it buy it netflicks it, I don’t care, just see it.

Looks like my sister and her new husband Ken just got back from their honeymoon.  Her car has been parked at my house all week and my brother was supposed to be picking them up at the airport and dropping them off here.  I just heard a car pull in.  I hope they had a great time.  They went on an cruise to Alaska.  I expect Ken took 7-8 thousand pictures or so.  I’m looking forward to the highlights.

If this posting is a little more random than most it’s because I’m watching the South Park movie as I type and I keep stopping to laugh my ass off.

I could really go for a hockey game right now.  I don’t want the summer to be over, but I could really go for some October right now.  What a conflict.  The AHL schedule is supposed to come out Tuesday.  When it does Jen and I are going to pick out a pile of Saturday night games for her to go to.  I got her into the game during the Stanley Cup Finals and now I have to turn her into a hockey nut case like me.

Speaking of the NHL, 5 years at 21.5 million dollars for Dustin Penner?

I just had another South Park distraction moment… “Frozen Tampon Popsicles.”  Does the English language get any funnier than that?  “Fuck Gregory.  Fuck him right in the ear.”  Damn I love South Park.

Right, on that note… the drivel ends here.  Thanks for celebrating my 200th post with me.  Go watch Hot Fuzz on DVD and then watch some South Park.
