Body Boy am I tired.  Yeah, sleep is my friend, and my friend just left town.

Thursday night I saw Hot Fuzz with Jenn.  Just go see it.  Do not pass go yadda yadda yadda.  Hysterical movie.  It’s funny all the way through, but once the story’s climax kicks in it is a fall-out-of-your-seat, wet-your-pants type of flick.  I don’t care if you saw Shaun of the Dead or not, just go see Hot Fuzz.  I can’t imagine Spider Man 3 (which Jenn and I are seeing tomorrow.  Hi Jenn!) or Pirates 3, or Shrek 3 being any better than this.  (lots of sequels this year… wouldn’t it be cool if a blockbuster movie had an original idea?  Nawww, never again).  Hot Fuzz.  Go see it kids.

Last night was Game Night.  My brother introduced us (well, most of us) to Texas Hold ‘Em.  Card games aren’t our usual Game Night fare, but it was fun anyway.  Let me rephrase, it became fun after I won a friggin’ hand!  Prior to that I was pretty put off by the whole experience.  After it, it was pretty cool.

Today there are a pair of items on the agenda (not two pair, or two pairs, just one pair).  First, in about six minutes, we are going to put Dad’s birthday present together.  (Sounds like a twist on the many Christmas mornings where we got really groovy toys from Santa and then had to wait for Dad to put them together, and Uncle Johnny to put the decals on.  Somewhere along the line decals became Uncle work.  Not sure why.)  We got dad a flag pole for the front yard.  We’re putting it up ourselves, which seems to imply to me that we’re going to have one seriously tilted pole in the front yard.  Yeah!

Later today me and a few others are going to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.  I figure everyone in Boston celebrates my Irish heritage on St Patrick’s Day, so I can repay the compliment by going to The Border Cafe to eat Mexican food on Mexico’s big day.  Thanks Mexico!

In case you were curious, I’m still obsessed with the new Rush.  Track 10 – “Bravest Face” is playing on my iTunes as I type this.  I really like this record, and I think I’m liking it more with each listen.

Okay, time to go put up a flag pole.  That’s meant to be taken literally, leave your sexual innuendo out of this!

Happy Cinco de Mayo
