| Body | Yeah, I’m still sick.
Yeah, I’m still going to Portland, ME for a minor league hockey game. Here’s a little info I chopped up from google maps:
From Tewksbury, MA to Portland, ME. 97.9 miles. I’m going to drive about 100 miles, watch a minor league hockey game, then drive 100 miles home. All while suffering through an obnoxious pain-in-the-ass of a head cold. It begs the question: “What the fuck is wrong with me?” but enough about the questions me and my future shrink will some day ask each other (it’s inevitable at this point), on to vacation plans. Labor Day week… Today I bought three tickets to the Houston Astros @ Milwaukee Brewers game for that Wednesday, and I also bought two tickets to see Rush in Milwaukee the next night. I still don’t know how/when I’m going, but I know for damn sure what I’m doing two of the nights I’m there! It would be a nice twist of fate if Roger Clemens pitches for Houston this year and decides to make this particular road trip and actually pitches that night. The chances of that happening are almost as slim as the Lowell Devils making this year’s play-offs… but it could happen! I also thought about snagging one ticket to see Rush at Mohegan Sun, but ticketmaster is sold out at the moment. I’ll look into that again when the date gets a little closer. Until then… Rush in Mansfield in June, Rush in Milwaukee in September. Ahhh life can be pretty good some times! Now, off to fill my gas tank so that I can make a 200 mile round trip to see a friggin’ minor league hockey game. Go Devils! |
