Is this the longest week ever?

I’m trying to stress the things that happened this week that didn’t suck.  There are a bunch of them, but for some reason I can’t drag my attitude out of the rut it’s in. 

My Federal tax return came yesterday.  That’s a good thing.  I’ve been playing guitar over the last couple of weeks.  I decided to record cheezy demos for some of my old songs as an excuse to get myself playing.  I’ve tracked 10 songs.  All that’s left to do is the vocals (urgh).  Maybe tomorrow I’ll start trying to work on some new ideas.  Assuming new ideas come, and that’s a big assumption.  It’s been a loooong time.

What else has happened that I can file into the “positive” category.  Bill Guerin is a San Jose Shark.  That’s a good thing if you’re from San Jose.  The Lowell Devils have won a few in a row.  That’s good.  Spring Training is underway and there is a Sox game on television as we speak.  (I’m not watching, I’m listening to Lowell vs Hartford game on the radio.  Devils 2 – Wolf Pack 1 in the second intermission)

CD Baby delivered the new Glass Set CD to me this week.  I like it a lot.  Very pleased.  Go check it out.  Emily Grogan has a CD release show on Saturday.  As of now I am still planning on going.  Hopefully I’ll be able to drag another person or two to this one.

I bought Clerks 2 on DVD the other day.  That’s pretty good.  I haven’t watched it yet, but I’m sure the deleted scenes will make the purchase worth it.  I also picked up Beer Fest.  I haven’t seen that one yet but I’ve had a lot of people recommend it… which is odd seeing as I don’t drink.  Super Troopers was great.  Club Dread was okay.  Hopefully Beer Fest is somewhere in the middle.

Okay, so maybe this week hasn’t been as terrible as it’s felt.  Thanks for cheering me up.
