Sunday is better than Friday

I’m down to the last 12 hours on-call and still the phone has not rung.  Thank whoever you thank for such things.

Friday, both of the NHL teams I’m pulling for lost game one of their quarter final playoff series.  Today however, all is right with the worlds.  The Hockey Gods have smiled upon those I favor.  (sorry, I’m watching the Lord of the Rings triology tonight -the extended versions of course… I’ll be up until about 2am- so the language might be a tad over-flowery)

San Jose spanked Nashville 3-0 to even the series at one game a piece.  Also, Edmonton surprised those damned Detriot Red Wings with a 4-2 win.  That series is now tied at one as well.

So on that front, all is well.

I’m jumping the gun a bit right now, but hopefully there will be a trip to The Border Cafe in Harvard Square next week.  I’ve got a bad Tejas Chicken craving, and so do my friends Larry and Kelli.  I think it’s inevitable at this point.  We would have gone this weekend if not for the whole on-call business.

Anyway, time to go back to Lord of the Rings… The Orcs are about to invade Helm’s Deep… proving that I have no life.
